The last 18 months have seen a transition in core initiatives. To this effect, we now have in post a Football Development Manager, supported by Four Football Development Officers and a Assistant. Three of the four FDO's are externally funded and endorse our ethics about 'Football For All' Manchester FA have specific officers in post to promote and work specifically within the following areas.
* Disability * Girls & Womens * Social Inclusion
Their work is supported by Club Development and Education initiatives. Our Headquarters are at the Salford Sports Village, a fantastic development which offers us as a development team so many unique advantages that come with a state of the art facility.
As we look forward to 2008 and the challenges that are ahead of us with a new National Game Strategy, it is important to note that we will be strengthening our workforce further with the appointment of five additional staff. A Referee Development Officer, Child Welfare Officer, County Football Coach, a further FDO and a Football Development Administrator - So exciting times ahead of us.
