Safeguarding Children - Renewal Information
If you have previously attended the Safeguarding Children workshop and your certificate is up for renewal, you can renew your certificate by working through a CD rom.
If your certificate is up for renewal and you have previously worked through a CD rom, you will have to attend the Safeguarding Children workshop.
Welfare Officers Workshop
The FA requires all affiliated Clubs to appoint a designated Club Welfare Officer. The CWO is required to have completed an FA CRB enhanced disclosure through The FA CRB Unit as part of the affiliation criteria and the Safeguarding Children Workshop for affiliation season 2009/2010.
CWO's will promote best practice throughout each club, playing a key role in dealing with poor practice concerns in line with the club or respective league's own disciplinary process.
Pre requisites
All candidates must hold a valid FA Safeguarding Child in Football (formerly The FA Child Protection - Best Practice) Workshop certificate and completed an FA CRB enhanced disclosure.
