Funding

There are a number of funding opportunities available within the Greater Manchester area (and indeed nationally), which can help provide teams and individuals with the opportunities to develop in a variety of ways.

This can be anything from assistance in buying kit and equipment, to help with funding of coaching courses.

The following are main sources of funding that are regularly accessed by football clubs through the Football Foundation and supported by Manchester FA:

The FF facilities scheme provides money to develop new or improve facilites for community benefit. These include changing rooms or clubhouses, grass or artificial pitches and multi-use games areas.

The FF community scheme aims to create opportunities and build communities by funding projects that use football and sport as a force for social change. We fund projects that address social exclusion and inequalities in education and health.

Manchester FA strongly supports and assists to access money via the FF small grants scheme for small projects that aim to increase participation by both players and volunteers in grass roots football by supporting the costs associated with providing new activity.

The FF goalpost safety scheme provides grants to replaceme unsafe goalposts.

The junior kit scheme provides money for junior kit and equipment to under 18 teams and adults with disabilities.
