RESPECT Programme

11:52 AM, Monday, 11 January 10. By Peter Roberts

Lose Respect, Lose the Game

The RESPECTProgramme has been rolled out through Grassroots Football here in Manchester since January 2009. All Leagues are eligible to become RESPECT Leagues and details on how to apply are available through the Football Association – currently 18 of 22 Leagues within the County have expressed their wish to become RESPECT Leagues.

All match officials are required to attend a Respect Workshop, which focuses on techniques involving working with the captain, spectator areas and dealing with dissent.

TWO FURTHER RESPECT COURSES HAVE BEEN SCHEDULED AS FOLLOWS:

MONDAY 19 APRIL 2010 7-9.15PM SALFORD SPORTS VILLAGE

TUESDAY 4 MAY 2010 7-9.15PM SALFORD SPORTS VILLAGE

To book a place on the workshop please email peter.roberts@manchesterfa.com or telephone 0161 604 7619

IF YOU HAVE ATTENDED A BASIC REFEREE COURSE SINCE JANUARY 2009 YOU DO NOT NEED TO ATTEND AS THE WORKSHOP WAS INCLUDED IN THE TRAINING

Manchester FA have completed the training of over 60% of registered referees within the County.

We would be happy to deliver the RESPECT Referees Workshop to any League or Referees Association who are interested, please contact peter.roberts@manchesterfa.com to discuss.
