We know that there have been some terrific developments in our county including more newly qualified referees than ever before, more women’s and girls teams and more volunteers qualifying with an FA certified coaching award. Clubs and Leagues across the county have also been gaining the FA Charter Standard as well as signing up to the RESPECT programme but it’s your views that are the ones that count!
We’d love everyone to get involved throughout the county – including players over the age of eleven, coaches, referees and volunteers – to take part in the 2010 FA annual online survey and have their say on local football provision and the future of the grassroots game.
Ian Watmore, The FA’s Chief Executive, said: “As we move into the third year of the National Game Strategy, which has seen a £200m investment into the grassroots game through the County FA network, The FA is committed to helping County FAs meet these targets. The annual survey is vital to ensure that we remain on track, and, by listening to the thousands of players and volunteers, it allows us to understand whether we are meeting expectations and whether we are getting it right.”
It takes just ten minutes to have your say, and this year we are offering some tempting incentives to get involved.
There are some fantastic prizes to be won for taking part in the survey. A signed England shirt, tickets to an England match at Wembley Stadium and £200 to spend at the online England store will find their way to lucky participants in the survey. The deadline for responses is 14 February 2010, so be sure to take part to make sure you have your say and the chance to win these great prizes.
