Manchester County FA Football Development Officer (Recreational), Daniel Pilling said: "We are excited to launch the Manchester County FA Football Leagues, and offer a new competitor for small sided football in areas of the county where there is currently no provision on their doorstep. We want to offer more affordable small sided leagues opportunities, which offer a rewarding customer experience, which costs a maximum of £5 per player, per week.”

“The development of these new leagues in Salford, Oldham and Manchester (East and South), will also enable us to develop a new revenue stream into the County FA, which we can then use to re-invest back into Grassroots to support our member clubs and leagues.”

"As we know, adult football participation is changing and some players struggle to accommodate football alongside other work, family, education or leisure demands. We have seen a drop in the number of people playing small sided football with the national providers, but cheaper local providers have grown significantly – this is where we want to enter the market and start to encourage lapsed players, to get back into the game again!”
