New Referee Development Officer

Tom Elliott has been selected to lead the MCFA Referees.
Manchester County FA are proud to announce that Tom Elliott (pictured, centre left) has been appointed as the County’s new Referee Development Officer.

Following Chris Kavanagh’s promotion to the Select Group 2 Referee List, MCFA have selected Tom to take over the reigns.

Tom, who attended Chester University, graduated in 2013 with a 1st in Business Management and now works as Football Development Officer (Referees) at Cheshire FA. Becoming a Level 4 referee in 2013, he joins us with a wealth of experience and will bring a fresh approach and perspective to refereeing across Greater Manchester.

Chief Operating Officer, Daniel Green has revealed how delighted he is with the appointment: "Tom will be an excellent addition to our team and brings with him a vast amount of knowledge and experience within the game. With the support of our experienced Referee Development Team, Tom’s passion and professionalism will ensure we continue to inspire match officials from across Greater Manchester."

The 23-year-old is eager to commence his new role with one of the country’s leading County FA’s and said: "I am delighted to have been offered the role with Manchester County FA. Chris has completed some great work in Manchester and I look forward to continuing this, whilst facing the new challenges that lie ahead."

The team at MCFA look forward to welcoming him, and will commence his role on Monday 4th July 2016.
