Senior Referee Promotions

More success for Manchester FA Referees.

In what has been a testing week for the people of Manchester, it is with great pride that Manchester FA has seen a number of our referees operating at 'Senior Level' achieve promotion this season.

Nik Storey has gained promotion to act as an Assistant Referee on the National League, while Tom Parsons, Mike Sutcliffe, Barry Lamb and Alex Kirkley have all been promoted to Level 2B and will be operating in the National League North during the 2017/18 season.

Furthermore, a special mention goes to the 2016/17 Frank Hannah Manchester Premier Cup Final referee Matt Donohue, who has been promoted to Level 2A and will referee in the National League next season.

Manchester FA Referee Development Officer, Tom Elliott said; "The incredible achievements of this group of referees comes as no surprise to those that know them. To stand out at their level takes massive amounts of dedication and endeavour across the entire season and I am so proud of each of them. They set a fantastic example to their colleagues and I truly hope that their promotions provide inspiration to our entire refereeing family.

"The hard work will soon begin preparing for the new season at the next level for these referees, everyone at Manchester FA wishes them the best of luck!"
