We Only Do Positive
Manchester FA is looking for a school to participate in our “We Only Do Positive” RESPECT campaign.
One clear piece of insight highlighted is that 9 in 10 children play better with positive encouragement. Research also highlights the negative connotations a negative experience can have on a child.
We want school children to create some images bringing to life the things that they enjoy most about playing football. We would like them to focus on what playing in a safe fun environment looks like and to also include the RESPECT or “We Only Do Positive” messaging somewhere on the image.
All drawings will be entered in to a competition and a selection will be chosen for new banners and posters that will be used at Manchester FA events.
'We Only Do Positive' aims to promote and educate coaches and parents on their roles in creating a fun, safe and inclusive environment for all the players, ensuring they have great experiences throughout their football journey.
This is also an opportunity for Manchester FA and schools to encourage physical activity through football. We will provide schools with local clubs and providers affiliated with Manchester FA to ensure children are playing at clubs that have safeguarding policies and fully qualified coaches that are DBS compliant.
For schools who have their images selected for the banners will receive a prize – 1st prize will receive a full Nike kit for their school team and 2nd prize will receive some new Nike footballs.
