Manchester Futsal will kick-start their newly-formed Youth League next month

Manchester Youth Futsal League 2018/19 Winter Season commences in October, providing a great opportunity for young players in Manchester to experience the fast paced small-sided game of futsal.

Participating teams will be able to play futsal in a safe, friendly, FA affiliated Futsal League, and positive environment to learn the game.
Many of the world-class players that football has seen have developed their skills on the small-sided courts of futsal.

Superstars who credit futsal for developing their game include Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Neymar, as well as former Spain World Cup winner, Xavi and Brazil icon Ronaldinho!

Manchester Youth Futsal League provides divisions for U7s through to U16s, with spaces still available in the U7s, U15s and U16s age groups. 

Applications to enter a team close soon, with the first fixtures commencing on Friday 5th October. 

The Youth League, which will be based at Manchester Futsal’s Headquarters at the National Cycling Centre.

Reflecting on the benefits of getting involved with Manchester Futsal, Steve Machin, coach of MFC Marple, one of the many youth teams who compete, encouraged those who are interested to give futsal a go for the forthcoming Youth League which will commence soon.

Steve said: “Without a shadow of a doubt, the players are fitter, they think faster, they make quicker decisions, and their passing accuracy is bang on.

“It has taken months to get there but with persistence, they are getting there and it has been a great journey.”

Mike Mosely, coach of Heath Madrid adds, “I didn’t realise how hard people have to work, they all work really hard and work for each other. It improves close control skills and techniques. There’s still much more that we are learning.”
