We’re launching a brand new membership to support our commitment to safe and enjoyable football in Manchester.

We’re launching a brand new membership to support our commitment to safe and enjoyable football in Manchester.

Currently, anyone can set up a football coaching organisation and so our new Private Providers scheme is being introduced to promote high quality private coaching, that has the Manchester FA kite mark of high quality provision.

The membership is open to:
• Private coaching academies
• Private 1-2-1 coaches & club providers
• Holiday camps
• Soccer schools
• Afterschool coaching session providers
• Community Trust Initiatives

The scheme aims to drive the standard of coaching in Manchester by supporting private providers with:

• Manchester FA Private Providers Kitemark
o Kitemark to be used on selected marketing materials
o Website listing on the Private Providers Membership page
• Access to 6 annual CPD events including sessions linked to the England DNA
• Safeguarding support and guidance from our Safeguarding staff

In addition, Manchester FA will be encouraging schools, local authorities and organisations, clubs & parents within the game in Greater Manchester to work with registered Private Provider members, with the membership serving as an assured recommendation for high quality coaching provision that is safe, progressive and enjoyable.

Joel Buckle, Business Development Manager at Manchester FA, explains: “Children are currently attending unregistered sessions and our primary concern is the safety and welfare of these players. This membership is being introduced to support parents, schools, local authorities and clubs who engage with private providers to ensure that the organisation they are considering is safe, insured and offers the high quality of coaching provision they would expect.

“As a member, Manchester FA will support private providers with developing their organisation in to a trusted brand that has the support of the local County Football Association. By becoming a registered private provider with Manchester FA, we believe organisations are showing a real commitment to delivering safe and enjoyable football, whilst parents, clubs, schools and local authorities can rest assured that they are working with accredited providers, approved by Manchester FA."

Private Provider membership costs £100 per year and there will be a renewal check to ensure providers continue to meet the highest of standards.
