Futsal Community Day

Futsal Feb continues with Community Day

Futsal community grows as youngsters introduced to the game

Manchester FA’s Futsal Community Day is set to take place this Sunday.

The event, now in its second year, was introduced to encourage the wider football community to get involved in the ever-growing game of Futsal.

This year, sessions will involve U7 mixed and U7 boys teams, as well as U10 mixed and U10 boys teams. Although games will follow the Futsal laws of the game, organisers have indicated that scores will not be gathered through the round-robin games.

Alex West, Football Development Officer ‘For All’ at Manchester FA, said:

“The game of Futsal continues to grow, both in Manchester and across the country. Manchester FA’s role is to facilitate that growth, and excitingly, we are seeing increased participation in Futsal year-on-year.

“It’s an exciting time to get involved in Futsal – whether that’s playing as a youngster, like on Sunday, or even coaching.

“We’re running Level 1 and Level 2 courses here in Manchester over the next few months, which gives people a great opportunity to get stuck into coaching Futsal right now!”
