These annual awards aim to recognise and reward grassroots clubs, leagues and volunteers across the country. Some of the unsung heroes in Greater Manchester grassroots football have been acknowledged over the years.

The FA Respect (& Fair Play) Awards

Every season the national governing body for football in England recognises clubs, leagues, individuals and County FA's that are providing safe, fair and enjoyable opportunities for people to play.

This can be achieved through a variety of elements, from education to spontaneous acts of kindness. All of which will encompass the RESPECT campaign.

Long Service Awards

Any club or league official who has served 10, 15, 25 or 50 years in Greater Manchester grassroots football is eligible to receive an appropriate souvenir to commemorate their achievement courtesy of The FA and Manchester County FA.

There shall be two categories of award according to the office held as follows:

  • GOLD AWARD: Chairman, Secretary or Treasurer
  • SILVER AWARD: Referees, Registrations & Fixtures Secretaries, Commercial Manager or Other Committee Members (without a formal post).
