Discipline

We're here to help!

The Discipline Department at Manchester FA is responsible for pro-actively ensuring that the rules and regulations are upheld and good discipline and fair-play in the grassroots game is enforced. Players and coaches have a duty to see the game is played in the right spirit otherwise they will fall foul of the disciplinary punishments as laid down by The FA.

Our game is played under the laws of Association Football by the International Board of the Federation of International Football. If these laws are broken by those playing the game then there are discipline rules that must be applied by referees and administrators.

Football is a very emotive game and people’s passions are aroused. It is therefore necessary for referees to enforce the laws and see they are adhered to.

FAQs

Click here to access. Once complete, send the FA Number (FAN) details to Discipline@ManchesterFA.com and we will add you as the Secretary, once the previous person or another Club Official has confirmed you are taking over.

If you were sent off for anything other than for two cautions or for foul and abusive language, you have two (2) working days to submit an appeal through the Whole Game System.

For example, if you are sent off on a Sunday, you have until Tuesday night to submit. Anything over this time will not be considered and the dismissal will stand. You will then have a further two (2) days to submit any evidence to Manchester FA in support of the appeal. The appeal will then be heard before the suspension begins, and the club will be informed of the result as soon as possible.

You will need to submit your reasoning in writing to Discipline@ManchesterFA.com. Manchester FA will then review your claim, and will inform you whether it has been successful or not. Late fines will only be removed in exceptional circumstances.

Firstly, complete your acknowledgements for any discipline items. Then, if the invoice is still not showing, it is because clubs at Manchester FA are invoiced monthly at the start of every month, so you have time to collect money from players before it is due.

REDUCING OUR RELIANCE ON DISCIPLINE INCOME

Fund4Football

Fund4Football is an initiative developed by the Manchester FA to reinvest the funds gained from discipline fines back into our grassroots football community.

Part of our strategy is to reduce our reliance on discipline income by 2019 and ensure any funds received is transparently reinvested back into grassroots football in Greater Manchester.
