'What is the difference between Small Sided Football & Futsal?' 

Futsal is generally played indoors and with a size 4 ball, while small sided football tends to be played outdoors with a size 5. Futsal is played to lines as opposed to using rebound boards and with hockey/handball shaped goals. 'Can I play Futsal all year round or is it just a winter sport?'

Futsal can be played all year round and there are leagues and competitions for both junior and adult teams taking place across Greater Manchester

Futsal Leagues
Manchester Futsal Adult Men's League on Monday nights at Soccerdome Trafford 8-10:30pm.
Manchester Futsal Youth Leagues (U8-U14) on Friday nights at Platt Lane Sports Complex 6:30pm-9:30pm.

Oldham Futsal Arena provides a designated Futsal court, based at Oldham College. The Arena hosts Futsal fixtures and coaching sessions on a regular basis.

Inspired Tameside Football League provides junior Futsal Leagues for age groups from U8-U14, with fixtures taking place on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings across two Tameside venues, St Damian's RC Science College and Astley Sports Village.

A dedicated Futsal club providing weekly coaching and teams player regular fixture programmes from U8 through to Adult. The Club's men's team play in the FA National Futsal Super League and Women's team play in the FA National League Women's North Division.

Futsal can be played all year round. Manchester Futsal Club run a 14 week season throughout the year.
