A look back at how our non-league sides got on at the weekend.

FC United of Manchester suffered a narrow 1-0 loss to Nuneaton Town at Liberty Way.

Ashley Chambers slotted his shot into the far corner to grab the game’s only goal in the 29th minute.

The result sees FC United slip to 13th place.

Waterlogged pitches meant that the Curzon Ashton and Salford City had their fixtures against Gainsborough Trinity and Bradford Park Avenue respectively postponed.

Heavy rainfall saw the match between Rushall Olympic and Ashton United postponed.

Mossley overcame Colwyn Bay 2-0 at Seal Park.

Mike Fish poked the ball home to give the Lilywhites a 25th-minute lead, before Mason Duffy placed his shot past Matt Cooper to seal the win.

Ciaran Kilheeney’s late goal could not prevent Droylsden from losing 2-1 to leaders South Shields at the Butcher’s Arms Ground.

Graeme Armstrong was on target from six yards and Dillon Morse headed in as the visitors raced to a 2-0 lead.

Luke Daly’s corner was met by a fine glancing header from Ciaran Kilheeney, but it was too little too late for the MFA side.

Trafford slipped to a 2-1 loss at home to Scarborough Athletic.

The Seadogs went ahead after 41 minutes as James Walshaw rose highest to power his header past Grant Shenton.

An own-goal from Trafford defender Lee Neville ensured that Scarborough doubled their lead three minutes into the second half.

Declan Rydings turned home Laurence Taylor’s cross to give the North a glimmer of hope, but the visitors held out for victory.

Leon Arnaslam’s 78th-minute strike condemned Maine Road to a 1-0 loss to AFC Liverpool at Brantingham Road.

Meanwhile, Irlam’s visit to Runcorn Town and West Didsbury & Chorlton’s home fixture against Charnock Richard both fell victim to the weather.

Chadderton also had their match against Bacup Borough postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
