The 2019 FA County Youth Cup Final is upon us, with Manchester FA preparing to face the competition's holders Norfolk FA as we look towards winning our first FA County Youth Cup.
The 75th FA County Youth Cup Final will be held at the home of Rochdale FC, at Spotland Stadium on Saturday 13th April, with a 2pm kick off.
This isn’t Manchester FA’s first appearance in the final after narrowly missing out on the 2013 cup, losing on penalties to Bedfordshire FA and same again back in 1984 losing 2-1 to Cheshire FA.
But Manchester FA are hoping for third time lucky as we go into the final fresh off our free-scoring 5-0 semi-final win over Liverpool FA. Making us the top scorers of the completion with 17 goals in just four games, putting four past Berks and Bucks FA, Essex FA and Durham FA in the previous rounds.
A key player for Manchester FA has been Annointed Chukwu, who scored a hat-trick against Liverpool in the semi-final. Another headliner has been Emmanuel Ogunrinde who scored two in the quarter-final against Berks & Bucks FA.
As for Norfolk they are no strangers to the Cup as the current holders after beating Staffordshire at the Bet365 stadium last year, their second win of the competition after they won the trophy for the first time back in 2011 at the same stadium, against the same opposition.
Norfolk have been dominant away form once again this campaign, with three of their four wins being on the road. Beating Cheshire FA by three goals to one in the semi-final and seeing past Sussex FA, Isle of Man FA and Cornwall FA on their route to the final.
The competition is made up of each of the English counties’ representative U-18 teams, with the teams being made up of players who are not under a written contract or at a registered academy licensed by the Professional Game Board.
Tickets for the final are priced at £5 for adults and £1 for U16s and will be available on the day at Spotland Stadium, OL11 5DR.
