Manchester FA Team Update

Parts of workforce to be furloughed during coronavirus outbreak

Manchester FA confirms furloughing of team members

Manchester FA has made the decision to furlough ten members of its team with immediate effect. The decision was made with the best interests of those team members at heart, with the steps taken ensuring that both their roles, and the support they provide to the grassroots football community, will be protected moving forwards.

The changes have been made with immediate effect as of today (Thursday 2nd April 2020). Manchester FA will continue to operate with a core group of team members, who will continue to provide support to clubs and leagues across the city.

In a statement, Colin Bridgford, CEO of Manchester FA, said:

“All corners of society have been affected by coronavirus and grassroots football is no different. Our priority now at Manchester FA is to ensure that grassroots football, and those involved within it, are cared for throughout this period and beyond.

“Our own staff members are a part of that community, and their wellbeing is essential as we move forward.

“I want the grassroots community in Manchester to know that as an organisation, we are here to support you through this unprecedented period.”
