Referee Promotions Confirmed
Manchester FA is delighted to confirm the promotion of fourteen of its referees
In total, eight officials have been promoted from Level 7 to Level 6, with five more promotions from Level 6 to Level 5, and one promotion from Level 4W to Level 3W.
Tom Elliot, Referee Development Officer at Manchester FA, confirmed the news, saying:
“This time of year is always a highlight for the Referee Development Team as we see Referees get rewarded for the hard work they have all put in over the last year.
Given the current football climate, it seems more important than ever to recognise and celebrate the successes of our hard-working referee workforce.
Each candidate has met a wide range of criteria to prove they are ready to meet the challenges of the next level and their promotion reflects the commitment they have made to themselves.
That said, it’s also very important to recognise our dedicated Referee Observers who help to support and develop our match officials by passing on their knowledge and experience to the next generation.
On behalf of Manchester FA and the RDT I would like to congratulate each and every Referee who has been promoted!”
