The ‘Our Heroes’ campaign has been set up to celebrate the work that many of the grassroots community in Manchester have carried out during the Covid-19 crisis. From donations to foodbanks, to those working in the NHS Royal Voluntary Service, and others risking their lives to help others during these tough times. Our community, and our city, has pulled together and we want to share the stories of some of volunteers from the grassroots community that are all heroes.
Colin Bridgford, Manchester FA CEO: “I have had the good fortune to work with Manchester’s football community for well over a decade now, and it is no surprise to me that many of the extraordinary individuals within the community are working or volunteering throughout this crisis. I would like to wish you, your families and wider communities the very best of wishes through this difficult time. I would also like to pay tribute and thanks to the thousands of people connected to grassroots, who are currently either working within the health and emergency services or those that are providing public services supporting our day to day essential needs. We are indebted to you all for your work, particularly at this time".
If you would like to nominate a hero, get in touch and we will share their story! Please
