First Place for Manchester FA

Manchester FA win first place in Football v Homophobia awards County FA Category

On Friday 5th February the Football v Homophobia awards took place, and we are thrilled to announce that Manchester FA scooped up first place in the County FA Category. 

Dr Robina Shah MBE, Independent chair of the Manchester FA Inclusion Advisory Board said; "Manchester FA and Manchester FA inclusion advisory board were delighted to be nominated for a Football Vs Homophobia County FA recognition award. We are all incredibly proud to accept the award and commit to improving football around Great Manchester for all members of the LBGT+ community. 

Football is For All, regardless of age, sex, gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity or religious beliefs. We hope this award will motivate everyone in the grassroots game to be the best and remember that inclusion is the centre of everything we do. 

Manchester FA work to drive the cultural change in football around Greater Manchester and would like to thank Football Vs Homophobia for the recognition of our work. We will continue to do the very best for the everyone across Manchester". 

It was a good night for Manchester FA member club, Village Manchester, who were awarded second place for the Grassroots Club Category.
