Restart a Heart Day

Restart a Heart Day

Saturday 16th October

Restart a Heart Day 2021, takes place on Saturday 16th October, where thousands of people across the UK, and many more worldwide, will come together to increase public awareness of cardiac arrests and increase the number of people trained in life saving CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and defibrillator use.

Manchester FA is continuing to work in partnership with North West Ambulance Service and other partners towards our 5 Point Plan to support access to defibrillators for grassroots football in Greater Manchester and to provide volunteers with life-saving skills and training.

You can access The FAs free ‘Sudden Cardiac Arrest Training’ online here

Manchester FA are also working in partnership with North West Ambulance Service, WEL Medical, Manchester City FC and City in the Community to provide Resuscitation and Defibrillator training to grassroots volunteers on Monday 18th October 2021 at Etihad Stadium. Clubs with existing AED devices can also bring them on the evening to receive a health check and maintenance advise from trained professionals. You can register to attend here

This event will be followed by a further programme of online and face to face training, alongside ongoing funding and support for Manchester FAs Clubs and Leagues to access Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs).

North West Ambulance Service also provide a range of resources and videos which can be accessed via their website
