Episode 3 - Players & Celebration Event Launch

Black History Month - Episode 3 - Players

We're proud to be celebrating Black History Month and throughout October will be interviewing role models from across the game and across Greater Manchester.

Next, it's the turn of the players and we have players and organisers from RAPAR talking about the project and their experiences in football.

Black History Month Celebration Event Confirmed

Manchester FA are delighted to announce the details of this years Black History Month Celebration Event. Black History month was originally founded to recognise the contributions that people of African and Caribbean backgrounds have made to football in this country over many generations and this has now been extended to recognise the contributions of people of Asian origin as well.

There will be a host of discussion topics on the evening, ranging from FA Coaching qualifications/development support available to coaches and a chance to celebrate and hear from some leading coaches/mentors

On the evening, there will also be a practical demonstration delivered by FA Staff to players from a grassroots club affiliated to Manchester FA.

In addition to all of the above, we are delighted to share with you that we will have a special guest speaker joining us on the evening. Our special guest will share stories of their journey growing up, to becoming a top flight professional in the football family. They will also provide a unique insight into the changes in both football and society. More information will be sent to you prior to the event on who our special guest speaker on the evening will be!

There will be a Q&A session after the practical delivery has taken place for you to have to chance to provide any feedback or ask any questions.

IMPORTANT COVID 19 INFORMATION: The FA's Covid 19 steering group have provided us with specific Covid 19 protocols to follow when running practical events with coaches in attendance.
